The Transformative Role of Breathwork in Releasing Anger and Sadness
One of the most transformative moments in my own journey to finding my power I was introduced to breathwork by my coach. I had no idea what to expect when engaging in this profound regulating tool but after I did one session, I was hooked. I had never in my life experienced a release so big and enlightening as the release that came after guided breathing for an hour.
In the journey towards self-discovery, stored emotions (often anger and sadness), will bubble up to the surface and try and find a way to be seen and then released. But how do we release this force from within?
Breath is synonymous with life itself. It is the first action we take upon entering this world and the last before departing. In every inhale, we draw in vital oxygen, nourishing every cell in our body, and in every exhale, we release carbon dioxide, purging toxins from our system. Thus, the breath sustains our physical existence, serving as a constant reminder of our innate connection to the universe.
